Isolated Complex emergency medical module

Overview

A response to emergency medical needs in the pandemic era. The complex combines prefabricated modules with a steel structure and digital construction to lift infrastructure capacity where it is scarce. Outdoors it stays flexible, mobile, rapidly assembled, adaptable and well insulated; indoors it safeguards material storage, airtightness and the comfort of medical staff. In an emergency the modules assemble quickly into temporary medical stations — designed with humanistic care, weaving together social context, historical-cultural elements and environmental sustainability. Submitted to the Milan Design Week China Universities Exhibition (2022) and adapted for a Dunhuang-themed design competition the same year.
